01Our commitment
We want the professionals who use EUCPD to be able to read, navigate and act on this site whatever tools they use. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we state the audited position honestly — an accurate partial claim is better than an overclaim.
02Current audited state
Across the built pages we verify:
- Text and interactive contrast meets AA; gold is used as text only in its accessible tone.
- A skip link, visible keyboard focus, and a focus trap on the mobile menu.
- Semantic headings and landmarks, labelled forms with clear error text, and data tables (including the coverage matrix) with proper headers and captions.
- Motion is subtle and stops entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion.
03Known gaps
Some interactive components and third-party embeds are still being reviewed against every AA criterion, and complex data visuals continue to be tested with screen readers. Where a component is not yet fully conformant, we note it and provide the same information in an accessible form (for example, the matrix is also readable as a table and in prose). This page is updated as items are resolved.
04The learning platform
Course delivery happens on a separate platform (Moodle) with its own accessibility characteristics; we are working through the same criteria there.
05Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, email info@eucpd.com with the page and what happened. We treat access barriers as bugs and prioritise them.
